Drop Everything!

Sometimes you just need a pair of earrings to make a statement. I don’t know about you, but I love what these earrings are saying:

Semi Precious Stone Drop Earrings The fun shapes and chains say ‘casually comfortable.’ The semi-precious stones say ‘easy elegance.’ The combination says ‘superfantastic.’

Best of all, there’s what the price tag says. The retail price of  $277.99 says ‘a pretty darn good deal.’ Overstock.com’s usual price of $188.99 says ‘smart shopper.’ Right now, though, their discount to just $170.09 says ‘superfantastic deal.’

Superfantastic look, superfantastic deal…what more do you need?

I need these earrings.

Deco-dently Beautiful

At this time of year one thing we all can use more of is pretty things to wear to parties. You know, things that sparkle and shine and add to the general impression that we’re dripping with good taste. That can get difficult on a budget.

Still, there are options out there. Take a look at this one:

Giles and Brother Art Deco Earrings These rather spectacular Art Deco inspired earrings by Giles and Brother will stand out at any holiday function, and then for years to come when you go out to dinner or the theater or to any formal gathering. They’re a handsome mix of antiqued brass, oxidized silver plate, and crystals that will never look out of step.

As for that budget I was talking about earlier, they won’t bend, let alone break, that. The retail price is $200.00, which really isn’t at all bad for a pair of really wonderful earrings. On the other hand, you’re not going to pay so much as that. Head over to shopbop.com where you can get them for just $140.00.

Now that’s what I call a good idea.

Friday Finds: The Santa’s Little Helper Edition

Normally I stick to things under fifty dollars on friday, but in honor of the official opening of the holiday shopping season, I’ve decided to ignore the limit this week. You’ll find goodies under fifteen dollars and others over two hundred. After all, you’ve got everyone from your Secret Santa at work to your lifelong best friend, to your immediate family on your list. You need inspiration from all price points.

Swiss Army Knife One of the handiest gadgets of all time is the classic Swiss army knife. Now Victorinox has reinvented it in a miniature size with stainless steel blades. At just 2 1/4″ long, it attaches to your key ring for your convenience. It comes with: one small knife blade, scissors, and a nail file. The practical soul on your holiday gift list will love this.

Normally, it runs $140.00, but Saks Fifth Ave is having a huge sale now through the 28th. Right now, even the sale items are on sale. The sale price on this item was $104.00, but now to Saturday it just $62.94!

Oh, and be sure to check out the bonus offers combined with the sale!  For instance, you can get free shipping by using code HOLIDAY9. If you spend at least $400.00 in Contemporary, you can get a $100.00 off card with code CONTEM9. And if you spend at least $100.00 in beauty and you can earn a $25.00 gift card with code BEAUTY9.

In the Mink

Wendy Mink Gold and Tanzanite Earrings See these? Aren’t they great? Don’t you want them to help you make a splash at holiday gatherings this year?

Wendy Mink is the one responsible for all that spectacular, and I for one would like to shake her hand. They’re gold vermeil leaves with beaded with Tanzanite for a cool touch of blue. So gorgeous. They would make a dramatic statement on nearly any set of ears.

Speaking of things your ears will enjoy, wait until you hear the price! The retail on them is an entirely reasonable $207.00. Bluefly usually carries them for just $124.00, which is a great deal. Right now, though, they’re on sale for a mere $119.99! That’s 42% off the retail.

Don’t leaf this deal behind.

It’s Hip to be Square

With the holidays coming up, we could all use a bit of extra sparkle. I like a bit of it dangling from my ears. In fact, I like something like this.

Genuine Square Aquamarine Earrings Imagine yourself at a fabulous holiday party with 1.30 carats of aquamarines adorning you. Isn’t that a wonderful image? I certainly think it is!

Oh, and to add another reason to glow, there’s the price tag. Manufacturer’s suggested price is $269.99, but right now at Finejewelers.com, these special sparklies can be yours for the bargain price of just $139.99!

Wear them in a winter wonderland with confidence…and a little Grinch smile because you’re the only one who’ll know how little you paid for them.

Return of the Basement

Yes, kiddies, the Basement is back!

To celebrate said return, what could possibly be more appropriate than a classic at a ridiculously low price? Nothing.

And so, without further ado, here it is:

Just imagine yourself (or someone you love) in this classic 18″ cultured pearl necklace and matching stud earrings with 14k yellow gold findings. Pretty and appropriate for nearly any occasion. Each pearl measures between 6.5-7mm and has a slight pink sheen.

Best of all, it’s a great deal at Amazon.com. Regularly priced at a solid $199.00, right now it’s a fabulous $89.99! That’s a savings of 55%. Far from shabby.

Oh, and while you’re there, you’ll want to take a look at all the other lovely pearl pieces on sale for a limited time at up to 70% off.

Tune in tomorrow for another great deal.

Hoop Hoop, Hooray!

Hoop earrings aren’t my personal favorites, I’ll admit. All too often they look either utterly dull to me or else they take a faceplant on the wrong side of the tasteful line. Every once in a while, though, a pair comes along that’s – in the words of Goldilocks – <just righticon.

These gorgeous hoops by Alex Monroe hit me where I live in the best possible way. Made of 22k yellow gold with exuberant flower and bird details, they’re anything but boring. At a noticeable yet demure size of 1 1/2 inches round, they’re absolutely tasteful.

Oh, yes, and they’re also a great deal right now. The retail price on these beauties is $225.00, but you know better than to spend that much. No, you’re going to head over to Net-a-porter where you can get them for an equally tasteful and attractive $135.00.

Jess a Really Pretty Pair of Earrings

Good earrings are worth their weight in gold, even when they’re made of silver. Of course, a touch of sapphire never goes amiss in my world, either. Here’s what I’m talking about:

St. Kilda Jess Studs These are St. Kilda Jess Studs, and they make me a very happy camper. So pretty. So sparkly. Such a great deal! How great a deal? Well, they started out costing a whopping $322.00. Now? Now they’re marked down to a mere $96.60 at Shopbop.com.

More than two hundred smackers off? Now that’s what I call a deal!

Ases the Beauty of These

Sometimes a gal just plain needs an extravagant piece of jewelry. Sure, you could wear something terribly understated and still look lovely. You could put on those delicate little pearl studs and nobody would say boo about it…and every once in a blue moon that’s the trouble.Miguel Ases Garnet and Carnelian Earrings  That’s when you pull out these babies and make an entrance they’ll never forget. Dramatic chandelier earrings dripping in garnets, carnelian, and tiger’s eye in a 14k gold-filled setting by Miguel Ases will wow the crowd in a big way. You’ll be the envy of all you survey. And wouldn’t they be even greener if they knew what a great deal you got on these beauties? After all, they started out at $400.00. Right now at Bloomingdale’s, though, they’re just $280.00.Don’t forget that Bloomie’s has free shipping on all orders over $300.00! After all, that’s a great excuse to get another fabulous pair of earrings, or a really great purse, or a superfantastic hat, or a scarf…or anything, really. Just use your imagination and your best credit card.

Of Quartz I Love Them!

Every now and again, you just have to have a piece of jewelry that’s a little overstated, that makes a real statement. If you’re looking for something like that, why not consider something like this?

White Quartz and Spun Gold Diamond Earrings Just take a look at these white quartz earrings deliciously encased in spun 14k yellow gold with diamond accents. Do I even need to say any more?

How about price? The suggested retail price is $499.00, but at UltraDiamonds.com right now, they’re a mere $100.00.

Gorgeous earrings at one-fifth of the original price? That makes me shine almost as much as the pretty jewelry!
