How’s your hair? Mine is nice, but I love to add a little something to it to finish up a great look. That requires some attractive things to give that special touch. Of course, you don’t want to spend a fortune on them. It’s easily possible to spend over a hundred dollars on a single headband. Me? I wouldn’t spend that much. After all, why buy one at full price when you can get two to four at a discount?
Here are a few options if you want the look but dislike the full prices.
The Cosmos by Marc Jacob is a delicate plastic band with a matching translucent, rhinestone-studded star. It comes in your choice of coral (shown), jet blue, or talc (white).
The retail price on this baby is $78.00, which is more than I would pay. Now that Nordstrom has marked it down to just $45.90, I’m seriously considering it.
Of course, there are other options that don’t involve plastic and rhinestones. How about silk?
Eugenia Kim Valerie Headband has woven multiple strands of elegant ivory silk and one of crystals into a headband simple enough for every day and elegant enough for a casual bride. So beautiful.
It’s a great deal, too. Originally priced at $99.00, Shopbop has it for a mere $49.50. Half price is a deal that always makes me happy.
Of course, headbands aren’t the only great things you can use to organize or accessorize your hairstyle.
If you’re headed for a picnic, or if you’re in a Napoleonic mood, nothing could be more appropriate than these whimsical enameled metal bee motif barrettes. They’re also exceptionally affordable. Regularly priced at just $14.00, they’ve been marked down at Pin Up Girl Clothing to a ridiculously low $10.00. While you’re there, check out the fabulous fascinators and other fun retro and rockabilly accessories.
Then again, you may want something entirely glittery and all about the sparkles. I know that’s just what I want sometimes, too. That’s when I would reach for something like this:
This pretty comb features crystal flowers, gold chains, and tiny hearts with rhinestone centers. It’s shiny and affordable and fun. The retail price at Beau Monde used to be $17.99, but it’s been slashed to just $7.99. Now that’s a deal that’s hard to beat!
