Toasty Toes on Cold Nights

As the evenings grow colder, we all look for ways to keep our feet warm. Thick socks can do the trick, as can utilitarian slippers. But why do simple utilitarianism when you can do superfantastic and practical at the same time?

Orange Jonquil Goody Goody Slippers Goody Goody makes deliciously whimsical slippers that will toast your toes and light up your eyes at the same time. Made of silks, velvets, and rich brocades trimmed with handmade ribbon flowers or elegant tassels, these slippers are not just your average toe-warmers. They’re works of art you can walk in. And right now, selected styles are on sale, including the exuberant Orange Jonquil style shown here.

The usual price for adult-sized slippers is $43.00, which isn’t at all bad. The sale price, though, is $34.40, which is definitely better. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the childrens’ styles, too! Normally priced at $31.00, selected styles are marked down to just $24.80. Isn’t it worth that to keep your child’s feet warm and spark imagination?

I have an awesome book called Killer Slippers about making slippers like these. Frankly, I like to look at the pictures but the work involved guarantees I will never make them myself.

Yeah, I’m the same way…though in my case it’s more that I never did bother to learn to sew to the point where I could construct them well enough to last more than three wearings.

I am so going to buy a pair of these!

Did I click on The Gallery of the Horrors by accident? Have these displaced The Steve Madden Wooly Pully slippers as a new low?

Really – this is a joke, right?
